We’re very proud that all of our items are made in the USA.  Barrango is located in South San Francisco, California – 5 minutes from San Francisco International Airport. At our office and showroom you can actually see many of the items we manufacture on display.

Our factory is close by allowing us control over every aspect of the manufacturing process. This is where we house our vast library of molds used to create all of the fiberglass pieces you see within this site. Each item is designed and produced with great attention to detail and quality. Everything is made here in the USA. We do not import ANY finished props or items.

Also at the factory, is the in-house machinery for making our lush thick greenery. In one step, raw materials – such as wire and PVC vinyl – are slit and wound into a never ending sprig of foliage. This sprig is then rolled up and fed into our garland machine which pulls, twists and cuts the sprigs into the proper thickness to transform them into tree branches, wreaths, garlands or any of our fabulous custom topiary animals.

On Barrango Lane in the Sierra Nevada Mountains we harvest natural Manzanita branches and twigs to create our popular Manzanita items. Every Manzanita sculpture starts with steel framework which is welded by hand. The Manzanita is artfully applied – also by hand – to the armature filling out the piece and giving it our signature look. Finally, we add paint and lights for a unique Winter Wonderland effect.

For our molded items, we use everlasting fiberglass or indestructible polyethylene plastic to ensure a durable and lightweight product. From there the piece goes into our post production and paint workshop where it’s finished with sanding, airbrushing for extreme detail and gold leafing (by hand) for that rich look.

Barrango can also custom sculpt any item for a single installation or mass production. Currently we are working with Elephant Parade, Cow Parade and Save The Mustangs – all organizations raising money to benefit non profit groups.
